In conjunction with National Fair Housing Month, the Davenport Civil Rights Commission will facilitate a panel-led discussion on Housing in Davenport at the Davenport Public Library on Thursday, April 20th. The event will be held at the Fairmount Library (3000 Fairmount Street) beginning at 6:30pm. Join us as we discuss the current situation and ideas for how to address problems related to housing in Davenport.

Confidentially dispose of personal papers at the Davenport Public Library. This event will take place at Eastern (6000 Eastern Avenue) on Wednesday April 26, 1:00-3:00pm. The library has partnered with The Shredder document destruction to offer a Community Shred Day in conjunction with Money Smart Week. Bring your documents (maximum of 3 containers per vehicle) to Eastern and they will be securely shredded on-site.

Join us at Fairmount (3000 Fairmount Street) for a celebration of Earth Day on Saturday April 22 at 2:00pm. There will be crafts and activities as well as a chance to decorate a clay pot which has already planted with a seed and is ready to grow!

All three locations of the Davenport Public Library will be closed on Thursday March 16 in order to hold a Staff Development Day. Staff will be participating in various training sessions with the goal of continuing to provide excellent service to the community. All locations will reopen on Friday March 17 with regular business hours of 9:00am to 5:30pm.
