“What to Do If Your Personal Information Has Been Hacked” Presentation at the Davenport Library

The Friends of the Davenport Public Library will hold a book sale at Eastern (3000 Eastern Avenue) on Saturday, September 23rd from 9:00am to 3:00pm. All fifty cent items will be "Buy-One-Get-One-Free". In addition, there will be a collection of MAD magazines and comics available at special prices.

Fans of all ages are invited to join the Library in celebrating the magic and friendship of My Little Pony! The celebration will take place at Eastern (6000 Eastern Avenue) on Saturday, September 30 at 10:00am and will include lots contests and crafts.

Dress up like your favorite pony (or create your own!) and compete in our Ultimate MLP Costume Contest to win prizes and movie passes. Costume categories will be:

Come to the Davenport Public Library for an art lesson presented by the Figge Art Museum. This one-hour session will introduce students to the elements of art and principles of design and encourage students to think creatively while experimenting with a variety of art materials. BIG TRUCKS at the Davenport Public Library! Come see all of your favorite trucks when we partner with the Davenport Police Department, the Davenport Fire Department and Davenport Public Works for Touch a Truck! You’ll have the opportunity to see a variety of trucks and city vehicles and be able climb inside and check out all the controls. Meet us at Fairmount (3000 Fairmount Street) on Saturday July 22 at 10:00am for this fun look behind-the-scenes of our city.

Learn up-to-date facts and paleontology discoveries that are sure to keep children engaged and excited with the Putnam Museum Presents Dinosaurs! at the Davenport Library. Students will learn the difference between a dinosaur and a flying or swimming reptile, how dinosaurs got their name and what they ate and finish with a discussion of fossils. Join us at Fairmount (3000 Fairmount) on Thursday July 20 at 3:00pm for this special event!

Using recycled plastic bottles and craft foam, kids will make their own adorable turtle coin bank. Join us at Main (321 Main Street) on Monday July 17 at 2:00pm for lots of crafty fun!

Join us for an hour of free-building with Legos at the Davenport Public Library! Construction begins at 5:30pm on Monday, July 17 at Eastern (6000 Eastern Avenue). We’ll provide the bricks, you supply the imagination!
