ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 29, 2023) — Augustana College will welcome new students to campus on move-in day Friday, September 1. The Class of 2027 is among the largest and most diverse in the college’s 163-year history, with 800 first-year, transfer and exchange students from thirty states and 35 countries.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 25, 2023) — More than 100 Augustana Vikings football players took a break from practice to assist the water line inventory project.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 16, 2023) — College alumni, parents and friends helped Augustana College raise $16.9 million during the 2022-2023 fiscal year. The support comes as the college prepares to enroll one of the college’s largest and most diverse classes this fall, with new Vikings hailing from nearly thirty states and forty countries.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 4, 2023) — Student research assistants were joined by President Andrea Talentino and Dr Dianna Shandy for a morning of knocking on doors in Rock Island to encourage residents to report the material of their water-service lines.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 12, 2023) Augustana College announced more than 1,000 students were named to the Dean's List for the 2022-23 spring semester. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (June 22, 2023) — The Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) program has announced the winners of the 2023 Audre Lorde Prize and department awards.

The awards are named in honor of Audre Lorde (1934-1992), an intersectional feminist writer and civil rights activist who wrote the foundational text "Sister Outsider" (1984). Awards are given annually.
