MOLINE, ILLINOIS (January 30, 2025) — The first show of the Black Box Theatre’s ninth season opens on Valentines Day and makes a perfect way to celebrate the holiday of love. Ken Ludwigs' Dear Jack, Dear Louise is a Valentine to his parents. It tells their love story through their correspondence during World War II.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 21, 2024) — The Black Box Theatre, located in downtown Moline, present the extraordinary story of the Christmas Eve truce in World War I. It is the Western front, Christmas 1914. Out of the violence of war, a silence, then a song. A German soldier steps into No Man’s Land singing “Stille Nacht.” Thus begins an extraordinary night of camaraderie, music, and peace.

STERLING, ILLINOIS (November 6, 2024) — Woodlawn Arts Academy invites the community to kick off the 2024 holiday season with three live performances of The Nutcracker. Presented by Edward Jones and Savant Wealth Management, The Nutcracker will be performed at 2PM and 7PM, Saturday, November 23, and at 2PM, Sunday, November 24 at Centennial Auditorium, Sterling High School.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 8, 2024) — The Odyssey Experience is playing at Davenport Junior Theatre from Saturday, October 12, through October 20, 1PM and 4PM on Saturdays and 3PM on Sundays. The interactive sixty-minute play is based on Homer’s epic The Odyssey. The Junior Theatre cast includes 24 students ages ten through eighteen, led by Ashley Becher, our Artistic Director.
