MOLINE, ILLINOIS (January 30, 2025) — The first show of the Black Box Theatre’s ninth season opens on Valentines Day and makes a perfect way to celebrate the holiday of love. Ken Ludwigs' Dear Jack, Dear Louise is a Valentine to his parents. It tells their love story through their correspondence during World War II.

Starring Zach Zelnio, and Kassidy Holdridge, with Elizabeth Melville directing, Jennifer Kingrey creating the lighting design, Alexander Richardson designing sound, and Lora Adams as the set and costume designer.

Adams, who is also the Artistic Director/Co-Founder of the Black Box Theatre, said, “I think it’s appropriate to open the show on Valentines Day as it is a heartfelt, funny, and sometimes sad look back at World War II. We typically think of this time as big, but it is these small, earnest moments that truly define the sacrifice these families made.”

The show runs February 14 — March 1 with tickets available at theblackboxtheatre.com. Tickets are $18.
