MOUNT CARROLL, ILLINOIS (January 21, 2025) — Timber Lake Playhouse, the premier professional summer theatre of northwest Illinois, announces auditions for local children, teenagers and adults for their upcoming 2025 Season.
Timber Lake Playhouse encourages local talent to audition for roles in our Youth Program including Beetlejuice Jr for High Schoolers through Elementary as well as select roles on our Mainstage for adults. We are looking for actors of all ages from the Mount Carroll area and surrounding communities to join our 2025 season. Local actors will have opportunities to participate alongside our professional company, gaining invaluable experience in a professional theatre setting.
Several roles have been crafted with local talent in mind to play parental roles and younger versions of our resident company, and we are eager to see the creativity and passion our community has to offer. Whether you’re an experienced performer or a fresh face, we warmly invite you to audition to become part of our 2025 season!
Roles are available for local actors and actresses for all of their mainstage shows, Saturday Night Fever The Musical, Rock of Ages, Waitress, Disney’s Frozen, and Friendship Landing. Young performers interested in featured roles and ensemble opportunities are encouraged to audition for Waitress, Frozen, and Beetlejuice Jr.
Local Performers must be available for most rehearsals and all performances. Rehearsals are typically held from 9AM-5PM, excluding Mondays, with modifications based on the role and production. Performance schedules vary but usually include seven shows per week over a three-week run.
Auditions will take place on Sunday, February 2, at the playhouse 9AM-5PM. Prepare a short song that reflects the season’s programming and brings you joy, and provide sheet music for the accompanist. Bring a headshot (or a clear photo of yourself) and résumé stapled together.
