ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (December 3, 2024) — Augustana College’s Barbara A Roseman Center for Speech, Language, and Hearing is offering assessment appointments for individuals with tinnitus interested in using the FDA-approved Lenire treatment device.

Augustana’s Dr Ann Perreau, associate professor of communication sciences and disorders and the Audiology Clinic coordinator, said the Roseman Center in 2023 became one of the first clinics in Illinois approved to provide Lenire.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (November 26, 2024) — Augustana College once again moved up the ranks in the federal 2024 Open Doors Report among baccalaureate colleges for the number of international students it enrolls. The 2023-24 ranking is a tie with Denison University, Granville, Ohio, for sixth in the nation.

Augustana’s student body currently includes 20% international students, up from 11.9% in 2020.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (November 16, 2024) — Kaleidoscope, Augustana College Art Department’s children’s-art program, will soon be moving to the Figge Art Museum. The Art Department has offered children’s-art classes for nearly 100 years, including 42 years under the title Kaleidoscope.

Kaleidoscope at the Figge will begin March 8. Registration information will be available in the near future at figgeartmuseum.org.

DeBaillie was elected Commuter Senator for the 2024-2025 academic year.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (November 4, 2024) — Augustana College senior Lazlow Ziebel, a geography and environmental studies major from McCullom Lake, was named a student laureate by The Lincoln Academy of Illinois. He was honored at an October 26 ceremony held at the University of Illinois Springfield.
