MOUNT CARROLL, ILLINOIS (July 17, 2023) — Timber Lake Playhouse (TLP), the premier professional summer theatre of northwest Illinois, brings one of the most beloved musicals of all time to the playhouse on July 20 for a ten-day run. 9 to 5: The Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie.

Rehearsing for TLP's upcoming production of The 39 Steps is Jacob Smith (Richard Hannay), Elizabeth Fenning (Annabelle), Cody Jolly (Clown 1) and Matt Webb (Clown 2). The production opens on June 15 and runs through June 25 at the Playhouse

MOUNT CARROLL, ILLINOIS (June 5, 2023) — This past winter, Timber Lake Playhouse invited local high school art clubs to submit drawings for murals on the wall behind The Lake Stage. Two murals were chosen to for the project. One was a depiction of the Comedy/Tragedy Masks designed by Aden Stallings (above). The second was designed by Allison Duggan of two figures and a microphone “performing since 1961” (below).
