MOUNT CARROLL, ILLINOIS (June 5, 2023) — This past winter, Timber Lake Playhouse invited local high school art clubs to submit drawings for murals on the wall behind The Lake Stage. Two murals were chosen to for the project. One was a depiction of the Comedy/Tragedy Masks designed by Aden Stallings (above). The second was designed by Allison Duggan of two figures and a microphone “performing since 1961” (below).

The students spent two days at the Playhouse creating the murals. Students participating were Aden Stallings, Ella Gilmore, Allison Gilmore, Olivia Shelly, Allison Dugan, Indigo Kloss, Maddy Kampmeier, and Madison Rihtar. West Carroll Art Instructor Jui-Hsian Apostolos led the two-day project.

If other schools are interested in creating a mural for the wall, there is still plenty of space. Contact the TLP office at (815) 244-2048 for more information.

And don’t forget, get out your leather jackets and pull on your bobby socks with Rydell High's senior class of 1959 for TLP’s final weekend of Grease running through Sunday, June 11. It’s a great time to come back to Timber Lake Playhouse and make lasting memories with friends and family. Information and tickets for all Timber Lake events are available online at timberlakeplayhouse.org or by calling the Box Office at (815) 244-2035. The Box Office is open Monday through Friday, 10AM-5PM.
