Churches United of the Quad City Area has received a $250.00 grant award from The Iowa Conference of the United Methodist Church, Thanksgiving Ingathering. This award supports the Hunger Ministry that Churches United provides in the Quad City Area. We are extremely grateful for this gift, and will use it to continue our missions.
Now in its 55th year, Churches United has a long history of reaching out to our community. Its 136 member churches represent 50,000 people from the Quad City Area. As well as 26 food pantries and 3 hot meal sites, Churches United also operates Winnie’s Place, a shelter for women (with or without children) who are homeless and/or victims of domestic violence.
