The Wells Fargo Foundation has awarded a $2,000.00 grant to Churches United of the Quad City Area, in support of its community service programs in the Quad City Area. This support helps Churches United provide critical services such as Hunger, Shelter, and financial assistance to those in need.

Churches United of the Quad City Area is very grateful to The Harold R. Bechtel Charitable Trust for a $5,000.00 grant, in support of its Scott County Food Pantries, a part of our Hunger Program.

ALLIANCE (Ohio) —The University of Mount Union Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Grant W. Cook III, will perform on Thursday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Riverside United Methodist Church, 712 16th Street. The performance, which is free and open to the public, includes works by Hans Leo Hassler, Michael John Trotta, Pētris Vasks, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Srul Irving Glick, Peter Angela, and Jacob Narverud, among others.

Churches United of the Quad City Area is very thankful to The Rock Island Arsenal Welcome Club for their $1,000.00 grant in support of our Hunger Program in the Quad City Area. This grant was awarded through the Welcome Club’s Community Support program.

Churches United of the Quad City Area is very thankful to the TJX Foundation for a $1,500.00 grant, in support of its Shelter Program in the Quad City Area. This generous support is critical in keeping Winnie’s Place in operation, in order to shelter women (with or without children) who are homeless and/or victims of domestic violence.
