Data shows Medicaid patients have access to more doctors than ever before

(DES MOINES) – Today, Gov. Terry E. Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds released updated data from Medicaid Modernization that was officially launched on April 1, 2016.  Medicaid Modernization means more doctors than ever before serving Medicaid patients.  It also means better care, more access to services, and improved accountability and oversight.

As 39 other states and the District of Columbia have done, Iowa is leveraging its own 30 years of Medicaid managed care experience and utilizing nationally-experienced organizations to coordinate care making Medicaid patients healthier and fitting individual needs.
