DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 20, 2023) — On July 27, 6PM, off-Site, join us in visiting local cultural and historical institutions and organizations around the Quad Cities to learn about the region's storied past. We will visit The Hauberg Museum at the Black Hawk State Historic Site. It is dedicated to telling "the story of the Sauk and Meskwaki people through interpretive maps, artifacts, and seasonal dioramas” (from Black Hawk State Historic Site website). Hauberg Museum staff will guide us on a walk through the park where they will share the park's history. The tour will end in the Lodge where we will visit the museum and the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) exhibit to explore its unique artifacts.
