DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 2, 2023) — For the safety of staff and patrons, Davenport Public Library Main will be closed until further notice due to the partial collapse of the apartment building directly across the street. Davenport Public Library Fairmount and Davenport Public Library Eastern will both remain open for normal business hours.

All items currently reserved for patrons at Main will have their holds extended once the building reopens to allow patrons the chance to pick up their items. If interested in placing a hold, please select Eastern or Fairmount as the pick-up location to ensure that the items are processed quickly. The book-drops outside of Main are closed at this time. Library staff ask that items be returned to Eastern, Fairmount, or either Kimberly Road Hy-Vee book drops.

DIY Quiet Book: Family set for Monday, June 5, and Stories at Main on Friday, June 9, are cancelled.
