The Old Creamery Theatre is a not-for-profit professional theatre founded in 1971, and is proud to be the oldest professional theatre company in the state of Iowa. In 2015, the company will be celebrating 44 years of bringing live, professional theatre to the people of Iowa and the Midwest. Located in the Amana Colonies, the Old Creamery Theatre is just a hop, skip, and a jump away!

Starting their 2015 Main Stage season off is Thorton Wilder's charming romantic comedy, The Matchmaker, which opens April 30 and runs through May 21. A cheap storeowner refuses to let his niece marry the poor artist she has fallen in love with. All the while the storeowner plans to remarry with the assistance of Dolly Levi, the Matchmaker played by Marquetta Senters, who pretends to help the storeowner find a bride but she schemes to marry him herself and she works to help the young lovers.

After that, Roger Bean's The Andrews Brothers takes the stage on June 4 through June 28. A USO show is threatened with cancellation when a certain famous trio of singing sisters fails to appear, and it's up to three earnest and determined stagehands to go on with the show! Mistaken identities and madcap adventure along with the music of an entire generation highlight this wonderful valentine to the heroes of World War II.

Summer brings tons of fun with Shear Madness, voted "Best Comedy of the Year" seven times by the Boston Globe! Shear Madness opens on July 23 and goes through August 16. This unique comic-whodunit takes place today in the "Shear Madness" hairstyling salon.  During the course of the action, a murder is committed and the audience gets to spot the clues, question the suspects, and solve the funniest mystery seen on stage. The outcome is never the same, which is why many audience members return again and again to the scene of the mayhem. Shear Madness is By Marilyn Abrams and Bruce Jordan.

When autumn begins, the circus comes to town! Barnum opens September 10 and runs through September 27. Join the Circus! - and be drawn into the boundless imagination of America's Greatest Showman - P. T. Barnum. From humble beginnings to a life under the Big Top this exhilarating musical celebrates the life and dreams of the man whose colorful vision helped define entertainment for generations and gave us the Greatest Show on Earth! Barnum is written by Mark Bramble with lyrics by Michael Stewart and music by Cy Coleman.

After that is The Church Basement Ladies in: The Last

(Potluck) Supper, that runs from October 8 to November 8.

Those lovable Church Basement Ladies are back, one last time, for the last (potluck) supper! Lots of hilarity and brand new musical numbers! Inspired by the books of Janet Letnes Martin and Suzann Nelson, including the best seller "Growing Up Lutheran." Written by Greta Grosch. Music and lyrics by Drew Jansen.

The Old Creamery's final show of the 2015 season is Nuncrackers by Dan Goggin, opening on November 19 and running through December 20. You won't want to miss the Little Sisters of Hoboken from Nunsense as they return to The Old Creamery's stage to put their patented spin on celebrating the holidays. Reverend Mother and her crew will provide plenty of Christmas music and more laughs than you can shake a candy cane at.
