Over the past three decades, Rick Springfield has worn many hats as an entertainer and performer. The creator of some of the finest power-pop of the '80s, he's a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and musician who has sold 25 million albums and scored 17 U.S. Top 40 hits, including "Jessie's Girl," "Don't Talk to Strangers," "An Affair of the Heart," "I've Done Everything for You," "Love Somebody," and "Human Touch." He's an accomplished actor who most recently starred opposite Meryl Streep in the feature film Ricki and the Flash and gave a chameleonic performance as the creepy Dr. Irving Pitlor in HBO's prestige drama True Detective. He's also a talented author - both his candid 2010 memoir Late, Late at Night (which Rolling Stone named one of the 25 greatest rock memoirs of all time) and his 2014 comedic novel Magnificent Vibration earned rave reviews and spots on the New York Times Best Sellers' list. Rick's latest studio album which is out now, Rocket Science features expertly crafted pop-rock songs that are open and electric.
The Fixx has been often heralded as one of the most innovative bands to come out of the MTV era. The style and substance of the band has always created a special connection with its audience. The Fixx's themes are often complex, introspective and thought-provoking and it's also been mass appeal with three #1 hits, five in the Top Five, a dozen reaching the Top Ten and millions of albums sold worldwide. Instantly recognizable, The Fixx sound is unmistakably unique and stands out among the thousands of artists filling the airwaves. Songs such as "One Thing Leads To Another", "Red Skies" and "Saved By Zero" remain everyday staples on the playlists of the radio stations that continue to break new acts inspired the era that The Fixx helped to define. The Romantics burst out of Detroit in the late 1970's with a power pop fervor, equally influenced by punk, new wave, garage rock and the British Invasion. The group's self-titled 1980 debut album produced the massive hit, "What I Like About You." Their 1983 album, In Heat, was certified gold in both the U.S. (selling more than 500,000 copies) and Canada, yielding the Top Three Billboard single, "Talking in Your Sleep.". They also scored global success with songs such as "One in a Million." They continue to record and tour all over the world every year. In December 2015, The Romantics released a new single "Coming Back Home" available via Apple Music, ITunes, and other fine outlets.
