City Circle Acting Company of Coralville will hold auditions for 1776: The Musical on Saturday, February 20 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Sunday, February 21 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Community of Christ Church, 2121 S. Ridge Drive in Coralville. Callbacks, if necessary, will be held Monday, February 22 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Those auditioning should prepare 16 bars of a song that shows off your voice and your ability to tell a story and bring sheet music.  An accompanist will be provided. You may also be asked to read from the script and sides will be provided.

Audition walk-ups are welcome but priority will be given to those who fill out an audition form and schedule an appointment. To schedule an audition, complete and submit the audition form at www.citycircle.org.

1776: The Musical is based on events surrounding the signing of the Declaration of Independence and dramatizes the efforts of John Adams to persuade his colleagues to vote for independence and sign the document. With music and lyrics by Sherman Edwards and book by Peter Stone, this production will be directed by Pauline Tyer.

1776: The Musical will be performed April 29-May 8 at the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts
