Gov Kim Reynolds Issues Statement on Iowa House Committee Passing Bill Limiting Cell Phone Use in Schools

DES MOINES, IOWA (February 27, 2025) — Governor Kim Reynolds has released the following statement in response to the Iowa House Education Committee passing HSB106, a bill to set a floor restricting cell-phone use during classroom instruction:

Keri Dodson Returns to Alma Mater to Serve as Monmouth College's Senior Marketing Director

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (February 27, 2025) — Keri Dodson, a 2018 graduate of Monmouth College, has been named the school's new senior marketing director. She will start her position on March 3.

Since November 2021, Dodson has worked for Bridgeway, serving as the behavioral health clinic's community engagement director and implementing a strategic marketing plan for its seven central Illinois locations.

Local Students Named to Fall 2024 Dean's List at Millikin University

DECATUR, ILLINOIS (February 26, 2025) — Millikin University is pleased to announce the names of the outstanding undergraduates who have been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2024 semester.

Students who attempt 12 graded credits during a fall or spring semester and earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher earn Dean's List honors. Students earning a perfect 4.00 grade-point average on twelve graded credits attempted earn High Dean's List honors.
