DES MOINES, IOWA (February 26, 2025) — Governor Kim Reynolds released the following statement in response to the Iowa House Health and Human Services Committee unanimously passing HSB191, a bill to expand rural health-care access across Iowa:

“Access to quality health-care is vital for Iowans in every corner of our state,” Gov Reynolds said. “I want to thank legislators for recognizing the need to increase the number of medical providers that call rural Iowa home by expanding medical residencies for physicians and incentivizing health-care providers to practice in Iowa.”
