A Killing At Codswallop Castle, a comic murder mystery dinner theatre opens at Ashton Hill Farm on February 11, 2017 and runs through March 11 on Saturday nights; seating begins at 6:00 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. There will be a special Valentine’s Day show on February 14 seating begins at 6:00 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. There will be also one special matinee on Saturday, March 4; seating begins at 12:00 p.m. and the show starts at 12:30 p.m. February 18 and 25 performances are already sold out.
As night falls on the ancestral home of Lord Codswallop, rumors fly that the historic (and haunted?) castle might be sold. What could possibly be worse? Only that the new owners could be… (gasp)…American! Laughter abounds as mayhem and murder unfold in this “spirited” evening of food and fun. You’ll have a jolly good time!
Ashton Hill Farm is a timeless venue space nestled on Iowa farmland with sweeping views of the countryside. Their custom built venue was carefully designed to capture the essential elements of successful entertaining.
Tickets: $50 per person. Your ticket to the show includes appetizer, salad, entrée, dessert, tax, and gratuity. Tickets should be purchased no later than 4:00pm the day before the performance. Ticket vouchers, season tickets, and coupons cannot be used for Dinner Theatre. All sales are final.
Chef Mickey's Catering is making and preparing the food by hand and serving it on site. The menu includes cucumber sandwiches, fig and blue cheese tarts, fig and stilton salad with a port wine dressing, English roasted potatoes, buttery garlic green beans, and a choice of beef wellington, chicken wellington, or vegetable wellington. Dessert is chocolate bundt cake from Take the Cake.
