DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 25, 2024) — As the American public increasingly understands the critical nature of accessible, affordable mental health-care, so do the demands on NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, known locally as NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley.
To support its free, nationally-developed education and support programs, power its advocacy efforts, and strengthen outreach to the community, NAMI presents its biggest mental-health awareness and fundraising event of the year, its twenty-first, NAMIWalks Greater Mississippi Valley, on Saturday, September 28, at the Bend XPO amphitheater (910 Bend Blvd) and park in East Moline, Illinois. NAMIWalks is the Quad Cities’ largest mental-health advocacy and awareness event.
Pre-walk activities (sponsor booths, live music, speeches, dog zone, and kid zone) begin 8-9:30AM, with the walk scheduled to start at 9:30AM.

Participants raising at least $100 receive an event T-shirt. One-hundred percent of funds raised stay local, supporting NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley’s free mental-health programs, resources, and services.
