The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Greater Mississippi Valley Announces Leadership Transition

DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 10, 2024) — The NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley Board of Directors has selected Mark Mathews as its new Executive Director. He replaces Angela Gallagher, who is retiring at the end of December.

Life is Beautiful Concert November 2 to Benefit NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley

DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 18, 2024) — An upcoming night of music and comedy will help raise funds and awareness for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Greater Mississippi Valley mental health education and support programs. The latest Life is Beautiful concert will be Saturday, November 2, at the Raccoon Motel, 315 E 2nd St, Davenport. Doors open at 5:30PM and the show starts at 6PM. Wearing Halloween costumes is encouraged.

NAMIWalks is the Quad Cities’ largest mental-health advocacy and awareness event, and it’s also NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley’s biggest source of funds for its free, nationally-developed education and support groups for those living with mental health conditions, and their families and friends.

November 19 “Life Is Beautiful” Concert and Art Auction Back in Person; NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley Mental Health Programs to Benefit

DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 14, 2022) — Organizers of this year’s “Life is Beautiful” concert and silent art auction are hosting the event on Saturday, November 19, 2-11PM, at the Raccoon Motel, 315 E 2nd St, Davenport.

The live silent art auction is 2-9PM, with music 3:30-11PM. There will be a free-will offering for concert admission. The art auction is organized by local artist Carolyn Krueger and features artwork from area artists.
