Good morning.  I want to welcome everyone to this very important hearing to consider the nomination of our colleague Senator Sessions to serve as the 84th Attorney General of the United States. 

Des Moines, January 10, 2017— On Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at 10 a.m. in the House Chambers, Chief Justice Mark Cady of the Iowa Supreme Court will address a joint convention of the General Assembly on the Condition of the Judiciary.

(DES MOINES) – Gov. Terry E. Branstad today appointed Julie A. Schumacher as judge to the 3B Judicial District. Schumacher was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Mary Sokolovske.
