DAVENPORT, IA—In a change from past years, Waste Commission of Scott County facilities will be open on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 15. The Commission will be open regular business hours at the following facilities:

•    Scott Area Landfill, 11555 110th Ave., Davenport

•    Scott Area Household Hazardous Material Facility, Davenport

•    Electronic Demanufacturing Facility, 1048 East 59th St., Davenport

The cities of Bettendorf and Davenport also will collect solid waste that day. Residents whose garbage or recycling collection day falls on Monday, Feb. 15, should place their carts or bins at their collection point by 7 a.m. to ensure pickup.

Used automotive fluids, including oil and filters, must be dropped off at the Scott Area Household Hazardous Material Facility located at the Scott Area Landfill.
