Professor and historian Art Pitz will be presenting his annual Middle East lecture series at the Davenport Public Library and Bettendorf Public Library during the months of April and May.  Pitz will be discussing the complexities and hot-button topics relating to the Middle East, beginning with The Arab Spring: Five Years Later at the Davenport Public Library Eastern Avenue Branch (6000 Eastern Avenue) on Monday, April 25th at 6:30 pm.  Topics for the following weeks include The Shia-Sunni Conflict, Failed States of the Middle East, and A Country Profile: Israel.  The series is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities.
