A fundraiser of the Buffalo BIll Museum will be held at the Crane & Pelican Cafe, originally the home of riverboat Captain & Mrs. Dawley (127 S. Second Street) in LeClaire on Wednesday, April 3rd starting at 5pm (Social hour), dinner served at 6:15pm. The Captain and Sabina Dawley will be joined by two of their 9 children and other family friends as they welcome guests to their home. $35/person in advance, $40/door.  Mrs. Dawley's menu includes choice of "Cody Road Bourbon Chicken,"  "Sawyer Farms Roast Beef," and her own "Spring Quiche" for their vegetarian friends. Reservations/menu choice and payment are due before March 30th to Buffalo Bill Museum, PO Box 284, LeClaire IA  52753. The Buffalo Bill Museum is participating in Younkers' annual "Community Day" fundraiser of $5 coupon books valid March 1-2, 2013 at Younkers and affiliated stores on March 1-2, 2013. The booklets contain a $10 discount on an item priced at $10 or more; a tiered shopping pass for 20%-15%-10% off an item; a 30% "early bird coupon' valid 7-10am, Saturday only; and 13 other merchandise coupons.     Every $5 purchase directly benefits the museum.  It can be purchased at the museum, from one of its board members, or on-line through a link posted on the museum's Face Book page (Buffalo Bill Museum LeClaire).  Online purchases will be mailed without an additional charge!  Because it is valid at the many stores affiliated with Younkers (Bon Ton, Bergner's, Boston Store, Carson's Elder-Beerman, Herberger's) it can be purchased for family and friends anywhere in the United States!

Pastor Melody from First Presbyterian Church of LeClaire, will be at Happy Joe's in LeClaire, every Wednesday, from 1-3 pm, sipping on a soda, reading and waiting to visit with you and your friends. Stop by and say hi. Or, if you have a prayer request or a question, just let her know.

 

Meals for Seniors at the First Presbyterian Church, LeClaire every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12 noon. Good food and a time to visit with others. Please call 563-289-3646 and make a reservation 2 days in advance.
