The summer festival season has started! You won't want to miss a weekend in the Quad Cities this June. It kicks off with the 25th Rhubarb Festival in Aledo on June 3-4 highlighted by everything rhubarb, huge craft show, and live music including country star Suzy Bogguss. Mardi Gras has come up river to downtown Rock Island with its zydeco music, Cajun food, and BEADS during Gumbo Ya Ya on June 10-11. Quad Cities' skies roar with the sounds of airplanes doing aerial stunts and tricks at the Davenport Municipal Airport during the 30th Quad City Air Show on June 25-26. It's one of the best civil air shows in the country.

Spend a Weekend with Dad - June 17-19
During the Father's Day Weekend, you can play 9 holes or a whole round at one of the area's 50 golf courses. From a beginner to playing it like the pros, you'll find a course that suits your style. Take in a baseball game at the number one minor league ballpark in the country. The Quad Cities River Bandits have games all weekend. Go on a bike ride during Ride the River with the whole family using local riverfront bike trails.
Vintage Automobiles Find the Finish Line - June 26
Downtown Moline, Ill., hosts the finish of the 2016 Hemmings Motor News Great Race presented by Hagerty on Sunday, June 26. More than 100 antique and vintage automobiles from around the world battle for $150,000 in prize money during the week-long time/speed/distance rally. The vehicles, each with a driver and navigator, are given precise instructions each day and come rolling in with-in minutes of each other!
The Wonderful World of Oz
Follow the yellow brick road to the Figge Art Museum. Beginning June 12, the exhibit is drawn from the largest collection related to The Wizard of Oz including original sketches, the first edition book, the movie's hourglass, and Dorothy's screen-test dress. It is on display until September 25, and it's free admission at the Figge!
Quad Cities Museum Week
Area museums welcome visitors for a week-long adventure of fun activities, great discoveries, and exploration on June 18-26. Information on all 21 participating museums and their events can be found at qcmuseumweek.com. This year, each museum has a mystery for you to help solve!
