BETTENDORF, IOWA – The Davenport Education Association (DEA) recommends Clyde Mayfield for the Davenport School Board election on Tuesday, February 16, 2016

to fill the vacancy left by Maria Dickmann who left the school board when she was elected to the Davenport City Council.

"The DEA interviewed all seven candidates running for the Davenport School Board. Each candidate answered a detailed written questionnaire important to our members and our students," said Toby W. Paone, UniServ Director for the Iowa State Education Association (ISEA), the state affiliate of the DEA. "We commend all of the candidates for wanting to serve the interests of children and our community and we offer our thanks to each of them for stepping forward to run for the school board. In the end, we believe Clyde Mayfield is the candidate who best deserves our organization's recommendation," said Paone.
