Lauded by Rolling Stone as "one of the top 10 comics you need to know," and currently traveling the country in support of the fall release of his book Death by Boomers: How the Worst Generation Destroyed a Planet, but First a Child, famed standup comedian and podcast host Tim Dillon brings his "American Royalty" tour to Davenport's Rhythm City Casino Resort Event Center on September 23, his first full-length streaming special Tim Dillon: A Real Hero having debuted on Netflix last summer.

Born in Island Park, New York, Dillon landed a small role on the PBS children's show Sesame Street in 1994, and as the comedian later told the host of The Joe Rogan Experience, "I was a child actor as a kid and I failed. I was on Sesame Street twice. I did the polka with Snuffleupagus." Before becoming a comedian, Dillon worked as an office printer salesman and a mortgage broker during the subprime mortgage crisis, and after the market crashed, he became a New York City tour guide. Dillon finally entered the stand-up-comedy scene in the early 2010s, and after performing a 2016 set at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal, Rolling Stone described him as "capable of formulating an articulate (and often contrarian) opinion about anything at a moment's notice." Vulture magazine, meanwhile, stated that Dillon was "simultaneously a boisterous, conservative-leaning Long Island native and a thoughtful, homosexual foodie with a soft spot for frozen yogurt."

A frequent YouTube contributor since 2016 who currently claims roughly 541,000 subscriber, Dillon won the title of New York's Funniest 2016 at Carolines NY Comedy Festival, and he appeared on both a half-hour Comedy Central special and a quarter-hour Netflix special in 2018 alone. He also created and hosts Tim Dillon's Real NY Tour, which takes the audience on a double-decker bus through Manhattan. He has performed at the Oddball Comedy Festival, the Glasgow Comedy Festival, SXSW, among others, and Dillon has been been on the Christ Gethard show on Fusion, Gotham Comedy Live on AXS TV, Fox's Red Eye, Tru Tv's Comedy Knockout, and season two of WYFD with Big Jay Oakerson on Seeso. Additionally, Dillon hosts the podcast The Tim Dillon Show that currently boasts more than 350 episodes, and where its appears very excited about giving viewers a tour of the end of the world. Each week, from a porch in Los Angeles, he shares apocalyptic visions with his friends and berates a local diner, the popular hit having garnered its creator more than 100 million views on YouTube.

Tim Dillon brings his "American Royalty" tour to Davenport's Event Center on September 23, admission to the 8 p.m. performance is $35-65, and more information and tickets are available by calling (563)328-8000 and visiting RhythmCityCasino.com.
