The Museum Week schedule is as follows:

Egyptian Sarcophagus – Saturday, June 17; 2 – 4 p.m. -SOLD OUT!
Explore the Putnam’s “Unearthing Ancient Egypt” Exhibit, and learn through a curator talk and hands-on sarcophagus activity about ancient Egyptian methods of body preservation and their burial practices.
African Safari – Sunday, June 18; 1 – 3 p.m.
Discover the history of lions and other mammals during a guided tour of the Putnam’s “Hall of Mammals,” and discuss the various people that contributed to the outstanding collection.
Native Americans – Monday, June 19; 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Learn abut the different Native American tribes that lived in the Quad Cities area by exploring artifacts in the Putnam’s archives, tour the Putnam Museum’s River, Prairie & People exhibit, and view special artifacts rarely on display to the general public.
Bridges – Wednesday, June 21; 2 – 4 p.m.
Participants will design their own model bridge and also discover how bridges connect the Quad City area and positively contribute to our economic progress and vitality.
Fluorescent Minerals –Thursday, June 22; 2 – 4 p.m. -SOLD OUT!
Participants will go on a guided tour of the Putnam’s Rock and Mineral exhibit, learn basic facts about minerals through a hands-on classification activity and learn what it’s like to be a curator at a museum.
