WHITEWATER, WISCONSIN (May 8, 2019) — Molly Ethington, a native of Rock Island, Illinois, graduate of Alleman Catholic High School and member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater softball team, was one of 45 Warhawks recognized as 2018-19 Chancellor's Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday, May 7, at Fern Young Terrace in Young Auditorium.

Ethington is majoring in accounting and business administration at UW-Whitewater.

To be recognized as Scholar-Athletes, student-athletes must have maintained a 3.25 cumulative grade-point average or above through the end of the 2017 fall semester. Honorees must have participated in a varsity-sport for two years, must be of senior academic status and must have accumulated at least 90 degree credits.

Each Scholar-Athlete received a commemorative watch. Vice Provost Greg Cook, standing in for Interim Chancellor Green, and Assistant Athletic Director Ryan Callahan, standing in for Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Todd Garzarelli, addressed those in attendance to highlight the achievements of the group.
