Virtual reality science curriculum will roll out worldwide this summer as VictoryVR announced it has reached an agreement with Kendall Hunt, one of America’s leading textbook publishers, and Master Concepts, a Hong Kong based distributor of school-related software.

Kendall Hunt, an American K-12 textbook and curriculum company, has acquired a stake in VictoryVR, with plans to roll it out nationwide this fall, announced Chad Chandlee, President of Kendall Hunt Publishing.

“This partnership and investment allows us to enhance our textbook offerings with virtual reality in a way that is truly transformative. Our company has served the education market for more than seventy years and it's partnerships like these that give us a runway into the future,” said Chandlee.

Based on the nationally accepted Next Gen Science Standards, VictoryVR is creating 24 virtual reality science modules to assist middle-school classroom teachers.

“Science curriculum is largely the same worldwide, so this is a product that can scale internationally with little effort,” said Steve Grubbs, CEO of VictoryVR.

The virtual reality curriculum is a supplement of 24 ‘VR books’ intended to support instructors as they teach courses rapidly changing. Each VR module includes five experiences including virtual field trips, interactive 360 activities, movies in a virtual theatre and assessments connected to the cloud.

Hong Kong-based Master Concept's CEO, Dennis Wong, also announced his company’s introduction of the virtual reality product into the Asian market, “we will start with english-speaking expatriate schools, but once this is translated, we believe Asian schools will quickly embrace it. I have no doubt that 80% of schools will have some level of virtual reality within five years.”

Master Concept sells education-related software in Hong Kong, China, Taipei, Singapore, Macau and Malaysia.

“From the start, we are creating the world’s first international VR curriculum. In so doing, we don’t look at this as an American product, but rather as a product that can immerse students from every corner of the globe into the world of science,” said Dave Hageman, VictoryVR co-founder.
