Davenport, IA – Rhythm City® Casino Resort hosted the Fight Hunger for Free Play promotion through the month of August. This promotion invited Resort Club members the opportunity to donate to the River Bend Foodbank and receive that donation amount in free slot play. As an added bonus, guests were able to donate a non-perishable food item for an additional $5 in free slot play. Because of the passion for community involvement, Rhythm City guests raised $14,930 dollars along with hundreds of pounds of food to benefit the River Bend Foodbank. Internally, Rhythm City held an employee food drive. The team brought in 2,586 non-perishable food items for the River Bend Foodbank in the month of August.

“It is exciting that with all of the activity at the new casino, people are willing to help those in need,” said Michael Miller, President & CEO of River Bend Foodbank. “One in 8 people in our community doesn’t have enough to eat. Thank you to Rhythm City, their employees, and everyone who contributed for thinking about people less fortunate than ourselves. Together we can solve hunger.”

Mo Hyder, General Manager of Rhythm City Casino Resort comments, “The Fight Hunger for Free Play promotion was a great success. Being a community partner, it is my privilege to say our team members and guests from the Quad Cities and surrounding communities once again are showing their enormous generosity to help support the fight against hunger!”
