WASHINGTON DC (December 20, 2019) — Representative Dave Loebsack released the following statement after the ruling was announced in the 5th Circuit case, Texas v US, regarding the Affordable Care Act.

“This ruling is dangerous for the more than 100 million Americans, including 1.29 million Iowans, who have pre-existing conditions and may now lose their protections. Additionally, this ruling paves the way for the loss of patient protections and would take away the ability for young adults to stay on their parents’ health insurance until age 26. We cannot allow the President and his Republican allies to take away Iowan’s quality health-care. I will continue to fight to move forward in a way that reduces premiums for families and expands the number of options people have.”
