MOLINE, Illinois, January 3, 2018 – Dr. Rebecca Brevard, owner and operator of Quad City Spine Clinic, recently completed 300 hours of training from the Acupuncture Society of America in Kansas City, Missouri, receiving Diplomate Certification.

According to Dr. Bravard, “Acupuncture can treat over 2,000 conditions, in the areas of mental, emotional, digestive and respiratory health as well as musculoskeletal disorders”. Acupuncture is a safe, effective holistic medicine that dates at least as far back as 100 B.C.E. in China. It is a “complementary medical practice that entails stimulating certain points on the body, most often with a needle penetrating the skin, to alleviate pain or to help various health conditions” (www.livescience.com). Dr. Bravard further states that “as an acupuncture practitioner, I am able to develop a treatment strategy that is unique to each individual’s personal experience of their particular condition”.

Dr. Bravard served in the Army for twelve years as a combat medic as well as a Blackhawk helicopter crew chief, both of which prepared her for her role as a leader within the health care arena. In response to her own debilitating back and foot pain, she opted to try Chiropractic medicine in lieu of the medical model that had not provided relief.  She experienced positive results and subsequently, after leaving the military, she came to Davenport to begin a journey that resulted in graduation from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2008.

Since establishing her clinic in Moline, Dr. Bravard has continued her pursuit of knowledge of which the most recent is earning acupuncture certification. She is also well-versed in the area of essential oils and can share how elements found in nature can help families to manage their health.

Quad City Spine Clinic is a family chiropractic practice that treats children and adults of all ages. Dr. Bravard passionately treats and educates all of her patients regarding the benefits of chiropractic care and living a healthy lifestyle. Her passion additionally spills over into the community as evident in a history of philanthropic activities and her participation in events such as the annual Bald Eagle Days where she offers complimentary massage to those in attendance.     For further information, please contact the clinic at 309-764-7272.
