BETTENDORF, IOWA (January 29, 2024) — Applications for Quad Cities Community Foundation scholarships are now open for 2024. Thanks to generous donors, local students can apply for more than seventy scholarship opportunities totaling over $500,000.

Applications are due by February 15, 2024, with recipients announced in May. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

“Our donors care deeply about education and supporting students of all ages in our community,” said Sue Hafkemeyer, the Community Foundation’s president and CEO. “We’re honored to support their generosity and help bring these opportunities to local students.”

Scholarships are available for high-school seniors as well as those who have already graduated. Students continuing their education at trade and technical schools, community colleges, and four-year institutions are all eligible. No matter a student's age or situation, there are scholarship opportunities available.

The deadline to apply for scholarships is February 15, 2024 — but students are strongly encouraged to begin the process early. Find more information on the application process here: QCcommunityfoundation.org/scholarships.

“If our students are receiving support and thriving, it leads to a stronger community,” said Kelly Thompson, vice president of grant-making and community initiatives. “These scholarships are helping students today, and they are an investment in the future of the Quad Cities.”
