Are you ready for Battle of the Bridges 2017?
 
 
The 10th Annual Battle of the Bridges contest will be held in the Grand Lobby of the Putnam on Friday, Jan. 27 and Saturday, Jan. 28. The event is a partnership between the Quad City Engineering & Science Council and The Putnam.
The objective of the contest is to build the most efficient bridge on-site, using identical kits of tools and materials provided by the QCESC. Teams may register as a Family (any combination of kids, adults and seniors), Elementary (grades 4-6), Junior High (Grades 7-8), High School (grades 9-12), or Professional (All participants must be at least 18 years old). Trophies are awarded in each category.
Event details:
Friday, Jan. 27 - Noon to 5 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 28 - 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cost per team: $25
Space is limited and pre-registration is strongly recommended. Walk-in registrations will be accepted based on availability of building space and materials. Payment can be made online or by check at the door.
