Children represent 9 area communities

DeWitt, IA – July 20, 2017 - The Central DeWitt Performing Arts Center continues the beginning of a great season with another summer musical!

Missoula Children’s Theatre presents Peter and Wendy, Friday, August 4th @ 7:00pm and Saturday, August 5th @ 3:30pm. Tickets are $15, ($12 advance), $5 students (k-12) and can be purchased at DeWitt City Hall, Emma Rae’s Antiques and Uniques, online at www.CD-PAC.org or one hour prior to each show.

This original musical production is part of the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s unique international touring project and is presented locally by Central DeWitt Performing Arts Center. Representing the cast and crew are 64 children ages 6-16 from Davenport, Delmar, DeWitt, Calamus, Camanche, Grand Mound, Lost Nation, Preston, and Wheatland.

The 64 children will undergo auditions in a workshop-style 10:00am-12:00pm Monday, July 31st at the Central DeWitt Performing Arts Center. The public is welcome to attend. After auditions, the cast and crew will begin a week-long rehearsal and workshop training directed by two Missoula Children’s Theatre directors:

Colleen Bielman

Colleen grew up in Troy, MI, and is a recent graduate from the musical theatre program at Western Michigan University. Notable roles include “Rosa Bud” in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, “Mary Poppins” in Mary Poppins, and “Maggie” in Lend Me a Tenor. Colleen enjoys music, cats, running, and going on adventures!

Ryan Fazziola

Ryan is a Long Island native and recent graduate of Binghamton University with a BA in acting/directing. He is overjoyed to join the Missoula Children’s Theatre summer tour. He has most recently performed in Bells Are Ringing and served as the assistant lighting designer for BU’s production of A Lie of the Mind. Ryan loves to hike, swim, and explore the outdoors, and dogs are his favorite animal.

About Central DeWitt Performing Arts Center

The Central DeWitt Performing Arts Center (CDPAC) is a state-of-the-art venue for plays, musicals, concerts, recitals, comedians, dancers, speakers, business meetings and other events. The auditorium offers 799 seats, technically advanced lighting and sound systems, and a C7 Yamaha Grand Piano Disclavier. The performing arts center is part of a $28 million addition to Central DeWitt High School in DeWitt, Iowa. It opened to the public in 2011.
