The Machine Shed Restaurant is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The Machine Shed opened its first location in 1978 on the outskirts of Davenport, Iowa. Starting with only 100 seats, and a powerful commitment: “Dedicated to the American Farmer.” That five-word dedication meant working hard to have a restaurant that wasn’t just ‘farm themed’ but something that farmers could be proud of. The Machine Shed now has six locations across the Midwest. The food is made from scratch, daily. At the Machine Shed, things are never done the easy way, only the right way.
The Machine Shed will be celebrating each month this year and would like to invite their patrons to help celebrate!
Here is how we are celebrating at The Machine Shed:
January: 40 winners were selected from the mailing list to win a $40 Machine Shed gift card! February: Tell us what you love about the Machine Shed’s on our Blog for a chance to win a $25 gift card! March: March Madness Food Favorites Bracket. April: Cup of coffee for $0.40 each Monday for the whole month of April. May: Calling all Shed Heads Blog! Where are you now, how far have you traveled or where are you going to? June: In honor of Dairy Month, a signature milkshake will be featured based off of their famous homemade Apple Dumplings! July: Help celebrate the Machine Shed’s birthday month every Wednesday with a free slice of The Shed’s World Famous Cinnamon Rolls! August: In honor of fair season, each week there will be a featured favorite fair food item! September: Bring in bag of canned food to the Machine Shed to be donated to a local charity and receive a free limited-edition Machine Shed hat! October: It’s Pork Month and each week there will be a featured throwback favorite pork dish! November: The Machine Shed Cookbook will be released and will be available for purchase in the Machine Shed Gift Shop. December: Each week there will be a limited-edition Machine Shed Christmas Ornament released. For every $50 you spend you will receive a free ornament, or the ornaments will be available for purchase!
