DAVENPORT, IOWA (January 21, 2021) Salvatore Marici and Davenport Public Library invite you to a bold and rising celebration of place, elements, smells, taste, and a transformation of mundane into magic. Join us Monday, February 1, 6:30PM, and board into an evening of intermingling fantasy, nightmares, science, good times, and the realities of our journeys through enhanced senses as Sal performs poems from his collections of three books along with newer works in his upcoming 2021 collection.

Salvatore Marici’s poetry has appeared in Toasted Cheese, Descant, Spillway, Prairie Gold: An Anthology of the American Heartland, Of Burgers and Barrooms, Brief Wildness, and other journals. In 2010, Marici was the Midwest Writing Center (MWC) Poet in Resident. He is the contest director for the MWC Great River Writers Retreat and a member of the MWC program committee.
