The Ascentra Credit Union volunteer board of directors and senior leadership team have been busy paying it forward this summer to 36 different charities and organizations, donating $17,000 in Leadership Grants from the Ascentra Credit Union Foundation. In 2015, the Ascentra Credit Union Foundation successfully established its Leadership Grants to stay true to Ascentra’s People-Helping-People philosophy and support giving back to the community.  Each of Ascentra’s volunteer board of directors and senior leadership team were given $1,000 to support causes that are meaningful to them.  Since then, the Leadership Grants have continued to make a positive impact and have awarded a total of $51,000.
