We will be celebrating with selfies with a popular fall character and entry into a drawing to win a combined gift basket from each store totaling $100.00 in value.

 

September 23rd - Bags-N-Brews on the Levee. 2:30-7pm $20 per person (includes Beer Tasting and Food – Excludes Tournament). $35 per player (includes Bags Tournament Entry, Beer Tasting, and Food). Beer samples from local breweries, free food, and an official bags (AKA Cornhole) tournament. There will also be live music, a silent auction/raffle, and other yard games for those not interested in the tournament.

1. DO DROP IN - Twice a month, 2nd and 4th Sundays, a drop in class for 30 minutes about church topics: Prayer, the Lord’s Prayer, the Apostles’ Creed, other Creeds, Advent, Lent, Baptism, Communion, etc.  Come when you can, 11:10-11:40 am, beginning August 27.

2. COVENANT Bible Study – Mondays, 1-2:30 pm, 3+ weeks: learn about creating, living and trusting the covenant we have with God; begins 9-11-17.

3.COVENANT II Bible Study – Mondays, 6:30-8 pm; same as above, only in the evening;

3+ weeks: learn about creating, living and trusting the covenant we have with God; begins  9-11-17.

4.FPC BOOK CLUB – meet once a month at someone’s home for dessert, coffee, tea and discussion on book; first Tuesday of the month; 6:30 -8:30 pm. Begins 9-5-17; Book: In His Steps, by Charles Monroe Sheldon; meet at Pastor Melody’s house.

Wednesday, September 6th, 3:00pm: LeClaire Community Library – Crafternoon. Come get crafty at the library! This drop-in program is fun for all ages.

 

Thursday, September 7th, 10:30am: LeClaire Community Library - Mini Makers. Sensory play encourages toddlers to explore and get to know the world around them. Come to the library to make a mess, have fun, and experience new things on the first Thursday of every month. This program is best for ages 10 months to 3 years.

 

Thursday, September 7th, 4:30pm: LeClaire Community Library - Tinker Lab Button-Making. Turn any image into something wearable and totally unique when you explore the library’s new button maker. Try some fun button-making challenges to exercise your creativity. Each participant gets 3 free buttons, and then they are $0.10 apiece. Best for ages 10+.

Thursday, September 21st, 6:30pm: LeClaire Community Library - Slime Science. Explore the science behind slime! Follow two gooey experiments and learn all about the powerful polymers that make slime so much fun. Best for ages 8 and up.

 

Tuesday, September 26th, 6:30pm: LeClaire Community Library - Junior Explorers. Explore a new science theme each month at the library! September’s theme is All About Me. Come in for a fun storytime followed by hands-on exploratory stations. This program is best for ages 3-7.

 

Wednesday, September 27th, 6:30pm: LeClaire Community Library - Adult Book Club. This month we’ll be reading Digging to America by Anne Tyler.  Books are available at the library’s circulation counter free of cost AND are now available as an eBook through our RiverShare Digital Library Catalog.
