ALTOONA, IOWA (August 14, 2019) — The Iowa Federation of Labor (IFL) will be holding its annual Convention next week (August 21-23) at the Meadows at the Prairie Meadows Convention Center.

The delegates will be working on resolutions, attending training and hearing speakers. Along with these events, the IFL will be allowing the 19 Presidential Candidates around 10 minutes, each to address the delegation. This event will be in the Bishop Ballrooms A and B.

The Presidential Candidate Speeches will be Wednesday August 21.

Prior to the Candidate speeches, AFL-CIO President, Richard Trumka will address the convention around 10AM. The Candidates will begin their speeches after President Trumka.

Confirmed Candidate attendees: John Delaney; Elizabeth Warren; Jay Inslee; Cory Booker; Pete Buttigieg; Bernie Sanders; Bill de Blasio; Marianne Williamson; Joe Biden; Tulsi Gabbard; Julian Castro; Steve Bullock; Tim Ryan; Amy Klobuchar; Michael Bennet; Beto O’Rourke; John Hickenlooper; Joe Sestak; and Ben Gleib.

Media will be allowed in the ballrooms at 8AM. The reception after the forum is closed to media and general public.

Risers, tables, and mult-boxes will be available during the Candidate Speeches.
