WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (April 19, 2024) — “Iowa Farm Bureau members welcome the EPA’s announcement of continued access of E15 fuel for the 2024 summer months.

“By lifting restrictions, consumers will now have access to this lower-cost option at the gas pump, and the resulting demand for homegrown fuels will support Iowa’s farm families and rural communities, including more than 50,000 Iowa jobs supported by biofuels.

Iowa leads the nation in biofuels production, and Iowa Farm Bureau members are thankful to the Iowa federal delegation and Governor Kim Reynolds for their continued push of policies that benefit all Iowans.

“This move also highlights the need for a permanent federal solution to allow for year-round E15 sales. Congress should pass the bipartisan legislation that would provide consumers with this affordable and sustainable fuel option all year long."
