MOLINE – Dr. Karen Hunter Anderson, executive director of the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) will unveil ICCB’s strategic plan to ensure that the community college system remains a leader in the fields of workforce training and education at a joint press conference with Black Hawk College.  President Dr. Bettie Truitt will also be on hand to share the innovative approach taken at Black Hawk College to combine the technical side of instruction with helping students to develop the soft skills necessary for the workforce.  The press conference will take place Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Black Hawk College Quad-Cities Campus.

The Illinois Community College Board’s recently adopted Workforce Education Strategic plan is a five year plan that will expand and enhance Illinois’ ability to attract, retain, and grow business and develop education opportunities to support students’ success in the workforce.  The plan will also enhance the community college system’s ability to accommodate the economic and workforce shifts occurring over the past two decades and into the future.
