DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 19, 2023) — River Action will host a news conference Monday, May 22, 2023, at Schwiebert Park on the music stage at 10AM to kick off their official campaign to break the record, discuss the changes to the event, and will feature partners from Alternating Currents, the Coast Guard, and Corps of Engineers to discuss safety measures as well as community partners involved in the event.

“We welcome all media organization to conference, which will feature several prominent speakers from around the Quad Cities,” said Kathy Wine, Executive Director of River Action. “We can’t wait to share with the community our added effort and investment into what was already one of the most exciting events in the area!”

Floatzilla 2023 promises to be a fun-filled weekend for all ages and skill levels. Participants can paddle in their own canoes or kayaks or rent one from local vendors. The event will feature a variety of paddle clinics, live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities.
