DES MOINES, IOWA (December 6, 2023)  Ellipsis has received a grant from Variety — the Children’s Charity totaling $75,000 to fund the purchase of durable furniture and beds for the teens who utilize Ellipsis residential programs.

Ellipsis is a non-profit organization serving central Iowa kids and families with a holistic approach to counseling and therapy, behavioral health-intervention services, residential care and treatment, care coordination, and family support. Ellipsis helps kids and families build healthy relationships so they can write their own story and move forward in life.

The $75,000 in grant funding from Variety will go a long way in the purchase of new, durable furniture and beds in Ellipsis’ residential-care programs. Providing updated furnishings for living areas and bedrooms not only creates a more home-like atmosphere for the kids, but also serves as a safety measure for all who live and work in the space. Funding will also help Ellipsis furnish twelve new efficiency-style apartments that will benefit our youth in the supervised apartment living program.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support of Variety — the Children’s Charity and their generous grant,” said Chris Koepplin, Ellipsis chief executive officer. “We make the best with the furniture and equipment we have, but from time to time, new items are needed. This grant makes that possible and will have a tremendous impact on the kids and families we serve. It also shows our kids and families that the community and community leaders value them, further inspiring them to reach their goals to lead successful futures.”
