THE CURRENT, Iowa

Amy & Amrit Gill (developers who own and manage the award-winning Hotel Blackhawk, Davenport Iowa) plan to open a new luxury/boutique hotel, called The Current, Iowa. The 1910 historic Putnam Building in downtown Davenport, is being renovated into a 78 Room Luxury Boutique Hotel. The Current will proudly fly Marriott’s Autograph Collection Hotel, the same flag that the Hotel Blackhawk flies.

The summer 2017 opening will include a rooftop bar/dining experience and the main lobby will feature a Baja inspired restaurant with floor to ceiling windows along with two private dining spaces including the (509 sq. feet) wine and tequila tasting room.

IHS – Innkeeper Hospitality Services an affiliate of Restoration St. Louis, will manage the property.  They are the same owner/operator of Hotel Blackhawk.

The tag line for the Autograph Collection is EXACTLY LIKE NOTHING ELSE .  At present there are (130 ) Autograph Collection Hotels.

THE CURRENT, Iowa will be 9 floors.

The 9thth Floor will be our Rooftop Bar/Lounge and we will serve breakfast each morning to watch the sun rise with beautiful views of the mighty Mississippi River.

Floors number 7 and 8 will each feature 14 luxury market ready apartments similar in size and finish to the Parker Building.

One unique feature of our sister company, (Front Door, Iowa) is that our luxury apartments include all amenities such as sewer, water, trash, electric, washers and dryers, fitness center, WiFi and cable TV.

The project will feature room for 160 parking spaces.
