Metropolitan Community Church of the Quad Cities (MCCQC) invites the community to attend Love, Light and Healing, a contemplative candlelight service to honor Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The service will be held on Saturday, October 28 at 6:00 pm.

DAVENPORT, Iowa, October 21, 2017 – All persons of good will are invited to join Reverend Rich Hendricks and the MCCQC church family during a contemplative candlelight service: Love, Light and Healing, where we will share knowledge of local resources, strive to deepen our understanding of domestic violence and sexual assault and most importantly, offer support to those who have been impacted. Worship will include music, inspirational readings and an open table for communion. Immediately following the service, everyone is invited to stay for an evening of fellowship and games. There will be complimentary coffee and tea provided...soft drinks for purchase. Guests are encouraged but not required to bring a light snack to share. Weather permitting, there will be a fire pit and s’mores. This is a family friendly event...all are welcome! The October 28th service is in addition to the weekly 11:00 am Sunday service as well as the Spirituality Discussion Group that is held on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. MCCQC is located at 2930 W. Locust Street, Davenport, across from the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds. MCCQC is dedicated to providing lively worship and proclaiming God's love for ALL people.
