50th Anniversary Bald Eagle Watch

Celebrating 50 years of bald eagle education in the Quad Cities, Bald Eagle Days is January 6-8, 2017, at the QCCA Expo Center, 2621 4th Ave., Rock Island, Ill.  Hours: Fri. 4-8 pm, Sat. 10 am-8 pm, and Sun. 10 am-5 pm. It is the largest event in the Midwest dedicated to the United States' national symbol of freedom. Thousands turn out for the annual event which includes live eagle programs, Jim Nesci's Cold Blooded Creatures, Quad City Audubon eagle tours, exhibits, and activities.

Cool Winter Fun

  • Snowstar Winter Park is now open and the remodeled Lodge now has a new Happy Joe's PizzaGrille serving your favorite pizza and snacks.

  • Bettendorf opened its new Frozen Landing Ice Rink with free ice skating and $2.00 skate rentals.

  • With the cold weather already here, the bald eagle watch count is off to a great start! You can go eagle watching anytime this winter in the Quad Cities. Here are some popular places.

Isabel Bloom Opens New Tour Center

Just as in Isabel Bloom's day, guests can once again watch artisans create the handcrafted sculptures.  The iconic company has created a new Studio Showroom and Tour Center in Davenport, located at 736 Federal Street. This beautifully designed facility gives customers much more room to browse, shop and enjoy their experience. Free tours are available. Tours can be made by reservation. The tour experience includes a video highlighting the life and legendary career of Iowa artist, Isabel Bloom. Isabel Bloom has three other retail showrooms in the Quad Cities.
